Get ready for the ultimate Port Stephens adventure! This action-packed experience combines the thrill of a 4WD Tours R Us sandboarding tour with the exhilaration of a surf lesson on one of Australia’s most stunning beaches.
Start your day with 4WD Tours R Us, where expert guides will take you off-road across the towering Stockton Sand Dunes. Discover the cultural and natural wonders of this unique coastal desert and feel the rush as you ride down the dunes on a sandboard – it’s adrenaline and awe in equal measure.
Then, head to the pristine shores of One Mile Beach, where the Port Stephens Surf School team will have you standing up and riding waves in no time. Whether you’re a first-timer or want to brush up your skills, our qualified instructors will tailor the session to suit your level – all in a fun and safe environment.
Let’s Make Sure We Get The Timing Right
Sandboarding departure between 9:00am and 10:00am will join the 1:00pm Surf Lesson
Sandboarding departure between 12:30pm and 3:30pm will join the 10:00am Surf lesson
What is included:
– 2-hour 4WD Tours R Us sandboarding tour sandboarding tour

Itinerary:
Port Stephens Surf School has two group surf lessons per day.
One at 10am and one at 1pm.
Please select one of the following times for sandbaording if you prefer a 1pm surf lesson: 9am, 9:30am, 10am OR 10:30am. Selecting one of these times will automatically add you to the 1pm surf lesson.
Please select one of the following times for sandboarding if you would prefer a 10am surf lesson: 2pm, 2:30pm, 3pm OR 3:30pm. Selecting one of these times will automatically add you to the 10am surf lesson.
Location: Birubi Beach Stockton Sand Dunes & One Mile/Birubi Beach, Port Stephens

It’s best to keep your hands free when sandboarding so you don’t need to bring much we do suggest:
- A bottle of water (it’s thirsty work!)
- Sunscreen & a hat (you’ll be outside so don’t forget to slip, slop, slap)
- Camera (there’ll be lots of memories to capture)
- A light jacket (it can get a little windy & cool on the dunes, best to be prepared!).
- Your Sand-boarding ticket is valid for approx 2 hour duration (* the second last and last tours of the day will only allow 1.5hrs and 1 hour of sand-boarding time due to requirements of our licence within the national park dunes )
- We recommend you bring extra water, a Hat, Sunglasses, Sunscreen and a camera.
(socks can be handy for kids if the sand is hot)

(a) you accept that these activities are dangerous and can result in Injury; and
(b) you accept the risks involved and are responsible for your own actions and/or involvement.
(c) they are under no obligation to participate or complete the activities if they have concerns about
their ability to do so.
(d)if anything is unclear to you in the Activity briefing then you will raise your concerns with a member of the 4WD Tours R Us team who is conducting the briefing
(e) to the best of your knowledge, you are physically able to participate in the advertised activities and know of no reason as to why you should not
(f)In respect of persons under 16 years of age, a counter signature by the parent, guardian or a responsible adult is mandatory.

machines are accessible in both top and bottom car parks
Please note NO DOGS are allowed in the national parks so we cannot take them up so the sandboardng hill or in our vehicles, no refunds will be given if you fail to make prior arrangements for any Animals
